Because they look hungry Even if you think you spot its skull pressing through a patch beside the gray eye. Because you are amused To see them beg and roll or leap and slobber. Never sated in their stupid joy. Because they might love you Forgetting their instincts and their gods, they might come back hungry and with knowledge.
