Who Can Have the More Literal Dream

By Josh Lefkowitz From Issue No. 4

I dreamt that we were hanging off a cliff,
She said.
I dreamt that I forgot all my lines,
I said.
I dreamt that we were detonating a bomb,
She said.
I dreamt that we were drowning in a pond,
I said.
I dreamt that you treated me better,
She said.
I dreamt that we were birds and in love,
I said.
I dreamt that I was in a white gown,
She said.
Was I there?
I asked.
I don’t know,
She said,
You tell me.
