From Ravn (I)

By Kathleen Maris From Issue No. 4

limbs when separated described like puzzle pieces
their color and shape and condition
no more
yet there are doors
the belief of humans with tails
transformation into beetle and tortoise
an eleven-year-old girl rising directly from garden to heaven
you read and read
eventually you know
it’s you
you are the one to carry the feeling
so you ask
which family is permitted to collect the body
