Tim Horvath is the author of Understories (Bellevue Literary Press), which won the New Hampshire Literary Award, and Circulation (sunnyoutside press). Recent work of his appears in Conjunctions, Harvard Review, Green Mountains Review, Post Road, and The Paris Review Daily. He teaches in the BFA and low-res MFA programs in Creative Writing at the New Hampshire Institute of Art. He is working on a novel about contemporary classical composers and musicians entitled The Spinal Descent, which so far has provided the excuse to try out the trumpet, clarinet, cello, kalimba, djembe, and accordion, though not yet all at once.
