Heather Pierce is a graduate of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers, and a grateful recipient of a grant from the Elizabeth George Foundation. She lives in Eureka, CA, where she is completing Wildland, a first novel about a mid-career corporate exec who walks away from her life and ends up fighting fires with a group of young men in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
