Elise Meredith Parsons

Elise grew up near the green, ticklish smell of the sea, the growing warmth of fiddle music, the purple coolness of night in the desert, and most of all the window-shaking tooth-shattering impact of supersonic aircraft over cinderblock Air Force Base housing. Since all good things give way to others, she now lives and writes in rural Ohio, with her family, her pet rabbit, and several of her imaginary friends. Her most recent projects include finishing her bachelor’s degree in English, applying to innumerable MFA programs, and other essays that have appeared in Gravel and Halfway Down the Stairs.
